What are the sorting standards for fluorite?

The sorting standards of fluorite are mainly determined by the final use of fluorite concentrate. Different uses have different quality requirements for fluorite concentrate. The selling prices of different levels are also different.The following are some common fluorite sorting standards:

1. Metallurgical grade: The CaF2 content is generally required to be between 80% and 85%, the silicon dioxide (SiO2) content shall not exceed 5%, the calcium carbonate (CaCO3) content shall be between 4% and 5%, and the lead sulfide (PbS) content shall not exceed 0.7%.

2. Ceramic grade: The CaF2 content requirement is higher, usually above 95%, the silicon dioxide content does not exceed 3%, the calcium carbonate content does not exceed 1.0%, and the iron oxide (Fe2O3) content does not exceed 0.12%.

3. Acid grade: The CaF2 content requirement is very high, usually above 97%, and the silica and calcium carbonate contents do not exceed 1.0%.
